“You bastard! Shooting even my grandpa? He had nothing to do with your wife’s death! I’m coming for you. This ends now! Didn’t I tell you not to challenge me? Marie, run now.”
Hector finds Marie at her place and tries to convince her into eloping somewhere far away with him so they could start a new life together. A nervous-wrecked Marie eventually obliges but asks for some time to pack up her things. Hector is excited, thinking he’s hit the jackpot. Once in her room, Marie calls Cardo and informs him of the situation and asks for his help.
“Try to stall him for as long as you can,” Cardo seethes.
Marie gives out her location and hides the phone just as Hector barges in. Meanwhile at the hospital, Cardo stomps out and Carreon orders Billy and the others to follow him. Cardo runs into his grandma on his way out, who pleads with him not to take the law into his own hands.
“He went after my own family,” Cardo states. “This isn’t about work anymore. This is personal.” And with that, he storms off. This time, he runs into Joaquin but ignores him like the piece of crap he is.
Marie is still playing delay tactics with Hector as Cardo is driving over furiously. Billy, Chikoy and Vargas follow but soon lose him. A moment later, Cardo arrives at the boarding house. Meanwhile, Tomas chastises Don Emilio’s “stupid plan” of trying to have General Borja killed.
At the boarding house, as Hector drags Marie along, they run into Cardo and a gunfight ensues.
Cardo takes cover. “You bastard! Shooting even my grandpa? He had nothing to do with your wife’s death! I’m coming for you. This ends now!”
“Cry me a river,” Hector taunts.
The gun battle resumes. Cardo saves Marie from the hitman’s clutches. The battle continues with a fistfight as Cardo knocks Hector down. “Didn’t I tell you not to challenge me? Marie, run now.”
After a few, Hector overpowers cardo and unleashes a flurry of punches at his face. Cardo turns the tables briefly before Hector grabs a gallon and uses it to soften him up some more.
While Delfin is being transferred to the ICU at the hospital, Hector manhandles an already weakened Cardo. “I already told you before – I will never let you take me alive. But you had to be a hero.” With that, he throws Cardo off the building. Cardo reacts quickly and descends down on his own terms.
Don Emilio is giving Redentor hell about his failed assassination causing problems for him. Threats are thrown both ways. Meanwhile, Billy finds Cardo and tries to take him to the hospital. Cardo however snatches his gun and goes after Hector.
Speaking of, Hector steals a pedestrian’s car in grand theft auto style. Cardo climbs into Rambo (his Jeep) and a highway speed chase. Eventually with the road blocked with some cars, Hector is forced to make a turn. Cardo gets out of Rambo.
Hector accelerates and exchanges bullets with Cardo, who manages to hit him and then his tyre. The car lurches through the air after crashing through Rambo’s bumper. Once gravity’s job’s done, Hector’s car starts flipping over dramatically. After staring for a while, Cardo dashes over and pulls out Hector from the wreckage a moment before the car explodes. The CIDG team arrive on the scene.
At the hospital, Flora and Cardo urge Delfin to wake up. Meanwhile at CIDG headquarters, chief Rodolfo warns the police officers who are protecting drug syndicates to surrender before evidence is collected against them.
Cardo pays a visit to Hector, even bringing him a treat. He then lays the CIDG case file in front of him. “I treated you like my own older brother… I believe that besides the law of the land, you will be judged by a higher power. You still have the opportunity to change. I know you’re not a bad person, sir…”
Hector enjoys his cup of coffee, brooding as Cardo rises and heads for the door. Just then, Hector merely says, “Cardo.” As he studies the case file, Cardo turns to stare at him.
Armed with Hector’s intel, a taskforce is deployed to hunt down the crime lords who had contracted him to kill, as well as CIDG officials protecting crime syndicates. Meanwhile, Don Emilio comes up with a plan to get rid of Redentor. Tomas tails Joaquin.
Cardo thanks Marie for all her help. Marie comforts him on account of his grandpa’s condition. Benny looks on sullenly. Concurrently, Emilio meets up with Redentor and on the guise of rewarding him for his loyalty, he rambles a whole load of crap and aims a gun at him. Redentor tries to weasel his way out.
“Kill me now. I’ve already talked with my wife,” Redentor states. “If I don’t return home, she’s going to camp Crame to tell them everything about you.”
Don Emilio has his right-hand man, Froilan show Redentor a live footage. Turns out his wife, Lorena has already been captured by Emilio’s goons. “Say hello to your wife.”
Redentor tries to play ball. When that doesn’t work, he manages to disarm Emilio and hold him at gunpoint. He shoots Froilan and the other goons. Redentor aims at Emilio. A gunshot goes off and after a dramatic moment, the corrupt officer falls. Tomas comes into view.
“Thank you saving my life,” Don Emilio thinks to himself. “I also saved your life once when you were ambushed, so we’re even. Even-steven. Partners again?”
At the ICU, Delfin regains consciousness much to the delight of his sister. She hurries out to inform Cardo and the rest of the family and they celebrate in style.
