General Borja is notified by Billy about the recent bombings in the city as well as the tip the NDA had allegedly received on the sighting of some rebels in the vicinity. While the authorities are en route to deal with the situation at the Plaza, Homer and his group charge the new recruits to stay behind while they go ahead to collect their pay. At the Arevalos, as the family watch the news on TV, Teddy begins spouting some nonsense about Bloody Sun seeking revenge for the men they had lost in the encounter at the hospital.
Alyana shows her irritating face to annoy us all the more. Fernan (Cardo) spies and overhears some of Homer’s men at their camp talking about the trip to Manila. The scumbags hope to have another good time once the Scorpion returns after completing his job successfully. Once he returns to the rebel camp, Cardo relays what he’s learned to his allies and Tadpole mentions that Homer would be in big trouble if Father or the commander learns of it.
“I have to get them to trust me,” Cardo says. “I’m going to befriend them. This is the opportune time for me to find out who it is they claim to be their connection in the government.”
The despicable Director Hipolito doesn’t pass up the chance to implicate Bloody Sun in the recent bombings. Diana urges that they capture the rebels alive so they could get some information from them. But we already know it’s going to go the other way. And so it does as the police engage the new recruits of Homer’s group in a one-way gunfight. General Borja and his men outmatch the scumbags and in no time, most of the rebels are killed. Sorry, all of them scumbags.
Cardo and his allies spy on Homer’s camp and they notice that a whole lot of unfamiliar men have been recruited. Later on when Homer and his group return to the rebel camp, Romulo questions them of their whereabouts. Homer claims that they had been patrolling by the river and the commando mentions that some of his men had said otherwise. Much to everyone’s surprise, Fernan (Cardo) jumps to the Scorpion’s defence.
“Commander, I myself saw Homer there. They were patrolling the area.”
Homer’s group ponder over why Fernan had come up with an alibi to protect them. Suspecting that he could be up to something, a number of the scumbags urge Homer to take him down. In Manila, the despicable director Hipolito makes his appearance to bitch nonstop about the supposed instruction he had given to capture the rebels alive. Slimy scoundrel probably has something to do with it, there’s no two ways about that.
Catindig pays up the group of scumbags who had infiltrated the police force and killed off every single one of the rebels. General Oligario can’t seem to understand why all the rebels had been killed, thereby leaving them with another dead end. Meanwhile, Hipolito addresses the media and the public on the annihilation of the rebels. Later at the NDA, our suspicions are validated when Hipolito reflects on how he had devised everything with the sole purpose of enhancing his image.
“I’ll still find out why you keep protecting Bloody Sun,” Catindig thinks to himself as he stares at his puppet master. “And what your connection to them may be.”
Alyana proves to be much dumber than before as she has nothing better doing than to rant and bitch nonstop about why her husband has joined the group who killed their only son to cause more chaos. Meanwhile, Homer thanks Fernan (Cardo) for covering for them earlier and our favorite hero professes that it was to make up for his blunder which had aided the hostages to escape. Homer and his group make a toast with Fernan as Anton spies grudgingly.
Cardo takes Homer & his group for a ride
General Oligario urges Borja that they focus their investigation on the numbers retrieved from Sandro’s phone since their recent operation hadn’t gone according to plan. At the NDA, Hipolito charges Catindig to keep his involvement in everything a secret from the ex-military men and Homer’s group. While Fernan (Cardo) convinces the commander to have him and his group included in those patrolling the forest, Anton confronts Homer about the scene he had witnessed last night with Fernan.
Virgie seems to be the only Arevalo with the common sense and sanity to disagree with her irritating daughter’s ranting and bitching. Same old same drama, you know what I mean. Anyway, Homer and his group slip out of the camp and head into town to have some good time, only to spot Fernan at the bar they frequent. Our favourite hero puts on quiet an act, compelling Homer and his group to join him in having ‘fun’.
Hipolito plots with Catindig to protect Bloody Sun’s location, all the while using them to his benefit. While Cardo continues to lead Homer and his group on as they make merry, a group of guys the Scorpion had picked a fight with before show up to have their payback. Homer indulges them and soon enough, Fernan (Cardo) and the other rebels join the fight. Eventually, a random goon launches a knife right at Homer and our favorite hero deftly shoots it away before it can do any damage.
“You alright?” Cardo asks after their adversaries flee.
Homer is dumbfounded for a moment on account of the close call. “Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it.”
While General Oligario resolves to keep Hipolito in the dark regarding her current investigation, Catindig ponders over his puppet master’s connection to Bloody Sun, driven to watch his every move until he discovers Hipolito’s secret. We skip another irritating and unnecessary drama at the Arevalos to take you right to the rebel camp where Romulo commends Fernan (Cardo) for how he seems to be getting along with Homer lately.
At the NDA, James discusses the recent encounter between the rebels and the authorities with his boss, stating that the incident gives Hipolito a good chance of winning the elections. As delusional as can be, ‘Mr. Personal Assistant’ professes that he would be voting for the despicable director. Diana doesn’t say a word. Speaking of, the man of the hour orders Catindig to keep a close eye on his boss since he suspects that she and Delfin are keeping something from them. Though the traitorous snake Catindig promises to take care of it, Hipolito bitches and bitches about how he keeps failing to resolve their issues.
Homer’s lackeys discuss about the recent incident in town as well as how Fernan had saved their puppet master. Believing that he also wants a luxurious life, Roldan and the others speculate that he would fit perfectly in their group and would be much more useful to them than Anton. In Manila, Grandma Flora and her family pay the Arevalos a surprise visit. Meanwhile, Emman asks his grandpa whether it would be okay with him if Fernan becomes his father.
“Fernan is always here with you,” Romulo says. “Even if he’s not your father. Besides, I’m also here.”
“But you’re my grandfather,” Emman points out.
“But I can act as your father. I can also be a friend to you. Always remember I love you very much.”
“Also, Mr. Fernan, he loves me and my mother.”
Lena shares a look with her father. While the kids entertain themselves with the irritating Mrs. Dalisay at the Arevalos, and with both families proceeding to share a warm meal together, Homer expresses his appreciation to Fernan (Cardo) again for having his back last night.
“No big deal,” so says our favourite hero with a smirk. “I’m really pleased because finally, you’ve accepted me into your group.”
“We saw your sincerity,” Roldan states.
“I’m very happy, because now I can feel the real sense of brotherhood inside Bloody Sun.”
“Don’t worry,” Homer mentions. “From now on, that’s how we’ll treat you – like a brother. We’ll all get rich together.”
Cardo grins. “Sounds great, Homer. Just like you guys, I wanna get stinky rich.”
General Oligario hurries to the parking lot where Catindig is descending from his car on the other side. She calls one of the listed numbers and a second later, Catindig’s phone rings. The traitorous snake pulls out his phone and stares with indecision.
