Joe Nana Adarkwa, coach of Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC, has revealed his team’s target for the upcoming 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League, which kicks off in November in Cote d’Ivoire.
Ampem Darkoa successfully defeated Hasaacas Ladies 5-4 on penalties for the second year running in May to defend their trophy.
After failing to progress in the CAF Women’s Champions League last season, they are, however, determined to go far this season.

“Our target is first to qualify from the group stage, then we will see what’s in store for us,” Nana Adakwa said in an interview on Max FM’s Sports Pack.
“AS FAR is not bigger than any other team. Every team from each country is a champion, and so are we, so we can face them squarely. It all depends on how we approach each game,” coach Adarkwa said on cafonline.
“If we are able to win at least two games, we can qualify from the group, and we will make sure to prevent AS FAR from scoring any goal against us,” he added.
Ampem Darkoa will take on AS FAR Club on November 6, 2023, in their first game in Group B.
