Romelu Lukaku’s loan move to Roma is intended to become permanent, but Chelsea hopes to eventually offload him by summer of next year.
Lukaku, who just scored four goals for Belgium against Azerbaijan on Sunday, is in incredible form. He has scored nine goals in 14 games in Italy this season.

Chelsea is still eager to let go of Lukaku despite his performance, as they plan to recruit a new striker in January or the summer of 2024.
If the 30-year-old striker maintains his excellent play, Roma would be ready to pay Chelsea’s £37 million asking price for him.

Although Lukaku might leave Roma this summer, Roma boss Jose Mourinho would support a permanent move for the Belgium captain.
