Hearts of Oak were easily defeated by Medeama SC with a satisfying 3-1 victory in the GHALCA Top 6 competition.
At the Accra Sports Stadium today, the Phobians and the Yellow and Mauve-clad squad squared off.
While this is Hearts of Oak’s first game, it is Medeama SC’s second.
Hearts of Oak could not match the caliber of the opponent despite deploying a large number of players from the youth squad and recently signed players.
Due to goals from Darlington and Joshua Agyemang, Medeama SC was able to fully capitalize on their superiority and lead by two goals at the half.
Joshua Agyemang added his second goal of the game ten minutes into the second half to give Medeama a 3-goal lead.
Hearts of Oak would subsequently score one goal back, but it would not be enough as the Phobians lost the game 1-0.
