Accra Hearts of Oak board member Vincent Odotei Sowah has strongly denied allegations that the club sabotages its coaches.
In an interview with a radio station in Kumasi, Sowah refuted these rumors in response to remarks made by Martin Koopman, the former coach of his club, regarding the club’s frequent interfering with his work.
“Why would we spend millions of cedis to bring in coaches and sabotage them to fail? It’s not true we have been sabotaging coaches at Hearts,” he said.
Since the dismissal of Samuel Boadu, the last coach to win them a trophy, the struggling Hearts of Oak has had numerous head coach changes.
According to Sowah, the coaches participate in internal politics, which causes them to become “naive” and “make mistakes.”
“They become naive and start making mistakes,” he added.
The Phobians have now appointed the highly experienced Aboubakar Ouattara to steer them to where they inted to be.
