The Ghana Armed Forces’ debutant, Jerry Lartey, defeated Akimos Annan Ampiah who claimed after the match that he fought out of his weight category.
The bout everyone had been eagerly waiting for, was between last season’s winner, Charles Tetteh, who proudly displayed the Max TV logo on his grey and black trunks, faced Eric Asante. The underdog, Asante, nearly caused an upset as he knocked down Tetteh twice before referees adjudged the bout to be a draw.
