Accra Lions showed remarkable tenacity on Saturday afternoon, narrowly defeating Karela United with ten men.
In a Ghana Premier League (GPL) matchday 24 match, the capital-based team hosted the side from Anyinase.

Unfortunately for the home team, they had to play the whole second half with 10 men when Daniel Awuni was sent out in the 43rd minute.
Despite the deficit, Accra Lions played excellent defense and even managed to grab all three points from Karela United at the end of 90 minutes.
Frederick Asante’s equalizer in the 73rd minute was the difference.
Accra Lions have risen out of the relegation zone thanks to today’s victory.
