Hearts of Oak’s Executive Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, has voiced his displeasure with the National Sports Authority’s (NSA) decision to halt football games at the Accra Sports Stadium in December in order to accommodate concerts.
Clubs including Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, and Great Olympics had to temporarily leave the Accra Sports Stadium as a result of this change. Questioning the reasoning behind the directive, Togbe Afede expressed his displeasure with it.

Due to the shutdown, Accra Lions now play their home games at WAFA Park in Sogakope, while Hearts and Olympics now play at Baba Yara Stadium.
