Hearts of Oak midfielder Linda Mtange has admitted that he was sick and was unable to participate in the weekend game against Dreams FC.
There has been an accusation that unpaid signing-on fees and salary were the cause of a player missing the MTN FA Cup Round 32 match.
The DR. Congo midfielder asserted that all of the charges are false in an interview with a Kumasi-based FM station.
He claimed that his absence from the Dreams FC game was merely due to illness.
“I didn’t play our game with Dreams because I was not feeling well but the news going round that Hearts owe me some unpaid signing-on fees and salaries and that is why I did not play on Sunday are all false.
“There is no problem between myself, the playing body, management, and the coach. Hearts are taking good care of me, they provide me with everything I need and I’m enjoying my stay in Ghana with the club,” Linda Mtange said.
The gifted midfielder continued, “I was even astonished by the publishing; that report is false; there is no truth to it. There isn’t a problem, in actuality.
“I only missed the game because I was sick and that is all.”
When the Phobians play Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League the next weekend, the midfielder is keen to make a full recovery so he may play for Hearts of Oak once more.
