A Ghanaian resident in Israel, Prince Amoah, has debunked claims that Ghanaians are allegedly caught up in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
According to him, the viral video of Ghanaians being caught in the middle of the Israel-Gaza crossfire was not a true reflection of the situation.

Speaking exclusively with Max Morning Dew in Accra on Friday, Prince, who is also a musician, assured that Ghanaians are safe.
“The incident in the said video did not occur in Gaza, Israel, or anywhere related to the ongoing conflict,” he said.

Prince therefore advised the general public to disregard the misleading video and charged the media to do credible reporting on the incident in Israel.
Addressing measures the Israeli government has put in place to protect the citizenry and residents, he indicated that there was an iron dome all-weather air defense system to intercept and destroy bombs that were detonated.

“So it is not scary since the iron dome diffuses the bombs in the air; only the sounds are heard. If you hear the alarm by the iron dome, you just have to run for cover before the bomb is detonated,” he said.
Prince noted that this measure had helped them go out to buy food to store in their rooms, stressing that no “Ghanaian would want to be flown back home.”
Detailing the incident with Max Morning Dew, he said Hamas had killed 1200 Israelis and captured 100 of them.
Backed by a barrage of rockets, Hamas militants stormed from the blockaded Gaza Strip into nearby Israeli towns, killing dozens and abducting others in an unprecedented surprise attack during a major Jewish holiday on Saturday.
A stunned Israel launched air strikes in Gaza, with its prime minister saying the country is now at war with Hamas and vowing to inflict an “unprecedented price.”
