Renowned Nigerian gospel artiste, Nathaniel Bassey has charged gospel musicians in Ghana to challenge themselves to write and sing English songs in order to impact lives globally.
According to him, the anointing of Ghanaian singers are limited due to the dialect they use to sing, and he advised them against limiting their crafts.

Nathaniel Bassey made this appeal at the Jesus Christ Encounter event held at the Accra Sports Stadium over the weekend.
He said Ghanaian gospel artistes were much anointed but not getting global attention as compared to other African musicians ministering in English.
The “Adonai” hitmaker noted that singing in native dialect was good, however, musicians should know the ministry had to reach the masses rather than a limited number of people.
“In the Next 4 To 5 years, Psalmists from Ghana will come to Nigeria and host their own concert, so that your songs will rise from Ghana to the nations of the earth.

“As a way of instruction, can I plead with Ghanaian music ministers to write songs in English? Yes I know you love your local dialect, Twi etc but there is an anointing on you and the world needs to hear your songs,” Nathaniel Bassey stated.
