In so doing, many write songs for the money and pay less attention to the lyrics. Some gospel music in the country is believed not to have good lyrics and has become cliche as the ideas are closely related to each other.
To avoid these cliches and poor lyrics, Highly Spiritual Music signee Raf Able has advised songwriters of gospel music to read a lot in order to get more ideas for writing the music.
According to him, writing a good gospel song is difficult, especially when arranging or putting the ideas into a contest.
Speaking in an interview on Max Morning Agenda in Accra on Friday, the urban gospel musician stated that there was a need for writers to put conscious efforts into reading for better ideas.
