Pep Guardiola says Manchester City are perfectly poised for their Premier League “final” against Arsenal later this month after cruising to a 10th win in a row.
The champions cut the gap at the top of the table to three points with a 3-1 victory over relegation-threatened Leicester on Saturday, ahead of Arsenal’s game against West Ham on Sunday.
Their next game in the Premier League is a showdown with Arteta’s side on April 26 and, although Arsenal can move further ahead next weekend with City in FA Cup semi-final action, Guardiola feels his side are well-placed.
The City manager said: “Like I said lately, it is win, win and win.
“They (Arsenal) have had an incredible run this season and I don’t think they are going to drop many points, so what we have to do is be there.
“It was important for us to win (against Leicester) to arrive for the ‘final’ we have against them in the next Premier League game.”
