Karim Benzema signs a three-year with Saudi Arabian club A Ittihad after leaving announcing his departure from Spanish Real Madrid.
The 35-year-old French striker is reportedly set to earn around $100 million a season at the Jeddah-based club and will join his former Real Madrid teammate in the Saudi Pro League.
Real Madrid is reported to stage a farewell event that will confirm his move to the Saudi club, managed by the former Wolves and Tottenham coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
Al-Ittihad is one of the four clubs taken over by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). The rest include Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli.
Benzema has scored 354 times in 648 appearances for Real Madrid, winning four La Liga titles, three Spanish Cups, three Super Cups, five Champions League Cups, four UEFA Super Cups, and five FIFA Club World Cups.
