Stanley Nwabali, goalkeeper for South African side Chippa United, is set to leave for a new club thanks to his heroics for the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the ongoing Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations.
The Nigerian shot-stopper has led his team to the final of Africa’s biggest sports showpiece after saving two kicks in the penalty shootout against South Africa on Wednesday night.

Nwabali, who has been linked with a move to the South African giants, Kaizer Chiefs, has been hinted at a big move by his agent, Mohammed Lawal.
“There is interest in France and Saudi Arabia. There is no surprise because of his performance during the Afcon tournament in Ivory Coast,” Lawal said, as quoted by SNL24.
“I have only seen [Kaizer Chiefs links] in newspapers. I cannot comment on anything regarding local interest; please speak to the chairman of the club.”
