H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday night extended his best wishes to the Black Stars ahead of their participation in the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire scheduled to kick off on January 13.
The President, accompanied by Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif (Hon.), Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah (Hon.) and Hon. Seth Adjei Baah, Board Chairman of the Ghana Tourism Authority, joined players and the technical team for a farewell dinner at the team’s camp in Kumasi ahead of their departure for Abidjan on Wednesday.
President of the Republic H.E. Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo was welcomed to the farewell dinner by Vice President Mark Addo and President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku.
Nana Kusi Agyekum Ababio, Oyokohene of Kumasi, came as proxy for His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
People from the entertainment and business sectors came together for the vibrant occasion. While Efua Asantewaa Aduonum of Singathon fame sung the national song to usher in the President, Afropop and Dancehall musician Stonebwoy delighted guests, players, and coaches with some exquisite performances.
