Chris Hughton, the head coach of Ghana, has expressed regret over Mohammed Kudus’s absence from the Black Stars’ camp during the first training week.
Following Ghana’s goalless draw with Namibia on Monday, head coach Chris Hughton told the media that the Black Stars’ only option is to keep working hard in order to get ready for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

“All we can do is prepare the best way we can, but of course, it is never helpful when some players have to miss a period of training, that is never helpful, but we are not the only country in that position and so we have to ensure that we are ready for the first game of the tournament,” Coach Chris Hughton said.
Mohammed Kudus trained with the squad on Tuesday afternoon after arriving in the country on Monday. It is believed he may not participate in Ghana’s opening game on Sunday night, as he is still nursing a minor injury.
