The Egyptian Football Association is reported to be in serious talks with French gaffer Herve Renard for the now vacant head coach role of the Pharaohs of Egypt following the dismissal of Rui Vitoria.
The African football expert, Herve Renard, who was rumored to be more interested in becoming the next head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, now appears to be the frontrunner for the Egyptian top job.

Renard led Zambia to continental glory in 2012 after his previous stint as one of the assistant coaches to former Ghana coach Claude Leroy. He also led Ivory Coast to glory over Ghana in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
After leaving and resigning as head coach of the Atlas Lions of Morocco, he became the coach of oil-rich Saudi Arabia and led them to a historic victory over eventual FIFA World Cup winners Argentina in 2022.

The former Cannes player, who is wanted by many Ghanaian football-loving fans, is currently the head coach of the France women’s national team.
