The crossdresser was arrested for allegedly spraying and damaging the currency notes at an event.
On Thursday, the EFCC revealed that Bobrisky was apprehended at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State on April 3, 2024, and is being held at the EFCC facility awaiting legal proceedings.
Announcing his arrest, spokesperson Dele Oyewale for the EFCC said:
“He was arrested last night in Lagos, and he is at our Lagos command. We arrested him for alleged abuse of naira notes, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation, among others.”

“We are very serious about restoring the dignity of the naira. Though our investigation is still ongoing, he will definitely be charged in court soon,” Mr. Oyewale added.
However, Bobrisky pleaded with the judge to give him a second chance to educate the public.
“I know, My Lord. My Lord, I wish that you could give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money. I would do a video on my page, and I would educate people about spraying money. I will not repeat it again. I regret my actions,” he said.
