Mimi Andani, a musician, has condemned a joint business partnership with a spouse and says it is something she will never do in marriage.
According to her, once the marriage hits the rocks, the business is also affected.

Speaking from an experience with her ex-husband, the former Big Brother Africa contestant said she partnered with her husband, and it got to the point that it was the business that sustained the marriage.
“The business is supposed to be balanced, but once the marriage is facing a challenge, the business is also subsiding,” she said.
Mimi noted that her marriage was basically over, but she was hanging on to him due to the business in order for it to thrive.
However, it got to the point that she could not take it anymore and had to quit for the business to collapse.

The “Leave Me Alone” hitmaker stated that she did not want to marry because of business but based on love and a healthy relationship with her husband.
Citing an example, she said the Golden Movie Awards were a joint venture with her ex-husband, but the awards got affected when her marriage collapsed.
She explained that it was the reason she did not hold the eighth edition of the annual awards scheme, as opposed to her earlier claim of financial constraints due to a lack of sponsorship.
Mimi maintained that she would never repeat the act in her next marriage but would rather help her husband with knowledge and guidance in his business.
Though she admitted that a joint business partnership had its advantages and was beneficial to some people, for her, the limitations outweighed its advantages.
