Former Dortmund player Otto Addo returns as coach of the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars.
The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the return of Otto Addo as coach of Ghana in an official statement after leading the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in his first stint as caretaker of the team.
“Otto Addo was exceptional in the interview process and was rated highly by the search committee, hence the decision,” Kurt Okraku said.

The former Ghanaian international will be offered a 34-month contract with an option for a further 24-months and will reportedly earn USD$50,000 monthly.
According to the GFA president, he stood tall amongst other exceptional candidates, as he impressed with his intention to “transform” the current state of the Black Stars.

“There were some brilliant individuals among the coaches who applied for the job, so the committee took the pain to interview a chunk of them to pick their thoughts on their intentions to transform the team within a short period of time due to our peculiar situation.
