According to ESPN, Manchester United have made Benfica’s elegant teenage midfielder João Neves a “priority target” at the end of the season.
Ten Hag’s side is apparently looking for a revamp of its midfield next season while retaining the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo, giving another chance to Mason Mount, whose maiden season at the club has been blighted by injuries.
Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot and Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana have also been identified as excellent prospects for Manchester United going into the 2024–25 season.
