Veteran musician Queen Asabia continued to chalk her name as a distinctive highlife singer when she treated a gigantic crowd to an authentic sound from her repertoire on April 20, 2024, at Zen Garden, Labone in Accra.
Alongside her bassist brother Kenteman, the saxophonist showcased the real sound of a highlife blend with a trademark colorful Kente outfit to project everything African at the show.
The pair performed a mixed bag of their music with high-energy dance rhythms as well as soothing and emotional love songs, setting the mood for the audience, which consisted of young and old as well as international guests and local fans.
Treated to the indigenous Highlife sounds, the audience was privileged to taste back-to-back sounds they were missing in the current industry as the Zen Garden band rose to the occasion and delivered the amazing sounds of Highlife that made the event so captivating and entertaining.
Queen Asabia became a crowd-pleaser after her recent performance at the +233 Jazz Bar & Grill at North Ridge in Accra for a special fundraiser.
Risen from the ashes to become an active part of the entertainment scene once again, Queen Asabia and Kenteman were preparing for the highly-anticipated anniversary tours to celebrate their 50 years in the music and entertainment industry.
