Today on The Heiress episode 149 :
Cassie sobbed over her mother’s supposed demise as psycho Eva rambled on a bunch of nonsense. She demanded that Cassie call her ‘mommy’, but Cassie only yelled out for help. Eva gagged her and dragged her along.
Romina informed Robert about Cassie being in psycho Eva’s custody. They heard her shouts and Robert asked Romina to stay put while he went back for Cassie. Mina didn’t listen though.
Daniela found psycho Eva and tried talking her into letting Cassie go. She proceeded to untie Cassie as Romina hurried over. Eva managed to restrain Mina. Robert arrived on the scene and sent his daughters off. As the police approached, he saved Romina from the madwoman and fell in the process, knocked out cold.
Now on the lower level, Romina rewarded Eva with a flurry of slaps and shoved her to the officers to arrest her. A moment later, Robert was pulled into an ambulance, and Romina refused to allow Daniela ride with them to the hospital.
Romina and Cassie recounted their ordeal to the others, hoping for Robert’s survival. Daniela came over and Mina confronted her about her connection with Eva. Nanny Esther came to settle order.
“Are you scared now, Daniela?” Romina taunted in the hospital room. “Once Robert wakes up, it’s over for you.”
“I have nothing to be afraid of.”
Robert woke up just then. Romina thanked him for saving them, and an emotional reunion followed. Suddenly, Robert had an episode and Romina called out for the doctor who came to calm him down.
Romina, Cassie and Daniela gave their individual statements to the police about the incident at the abandoned building. The doctor updated the Mondragons and Bartolomes on Robert’s condition and how he was possibly traumatized. Meanwhile, Hector told his brother about Robert being alive.
“We need to go back and finish the job, Alvin. We need to make sure he won’t escape death again.”
Psycho Eva was being taken to the mental institution, and she demanded that Romina return Robert to her as if he was some kind of trophy. Romina rambled on about how she had made Robert suffer.
“I’ll make sure you regret taking Robert from me,” psycho Eva said as she was being dragged away. He’s not yours anymore.”
A psychologist informed Romina and Daniela of Robert’s current condition. Once home, Danny girl weaseled her way out of taking care of the baby and much to her husband’s disapproval, she announced that they would be going back to the mansion. Supposedly to take care of her father. Go figure.
The Mondragons arrived at the mansion with Robert. Daniela barged in with her family just then and soon began arguing with Romina.
Robert looked exasperated. “Please, just this once. Let me enjoy being home again.” He then stormed up the stairs.
“I’m just concerned about your dad,” Romina said to Daniela. “But the minute you start causing trouble, I will drag you out of my house.”
Bratty daughter tried manipulating Cassie into sharing her room with her. When it was evident that Cassie wouldn’t be fooled, she then brought out her stinking rotten attitude.
“Enjoy the house as much as you can,” Cassie taunted. “You won’t be staying here long.”
Daniela picked a fight with Romina during dinner. Robert got upset and scolded them both. Later, Danny girl put on a show and tried to paint Romina as the bad guy. She then pledged her allegiance to her father concerning Romina’s case.
“Daniela, you won’t cause any trouble,” Robert cautioned. “Do you understand?”
“But, dad…”
“Daniela! Now that I am back home, I want you two to get along.” Romina stood in the doorway of the study room. “And stop your petty rivalry with Romina!”
As Daniela protested, Romina walked in on the scene. “Robert? What’s going on here?”
Romina revealed to Robert her suspicion of the Mangubat brothers and Daniela having a hand in his accident. Robert just stared silently and started heading out. Romina grabbed his hand and he gave her a pointed look until she released him. And off he went.
Despicable mother and bratty daughter cooked up a plan to win Robert over to their side. Later that night, Robert sneaked into the master bedroom as Romina slept. He flashed back to their wedding and the incidents leading up to the helicopter crash. “I know there’s so much you want to ask,” he thought to himself. “But I can’t answer you yet. I’ve got people I need to investigate. All I can promise you is that whoever tried to kill me and ruin our family, will pay the price once I uncover the truth.”
Robert was impressed with Camila’s sales, courtesy of Romina. He was however put off when Mina touched him. Romina told him that he still had co-ownership of Camila so they’d run it together. The Mangubat brothers tailed them from a safe distance.
Mikoy walked in on Marga packing up some stuff, bittersweet that she was heading back to her ‘world’ now that her grandpa was back. Marga told him that nothing would change between them because he was the only real friend she had.
Cassie found Paco standing outside Maxwell’s entrance. They had some small talk and Cassie gave him a list of schools she had made up. “Don’t think no school will accept you because of your past. What matters is who you are now.”
Kristoff came over and asked Cassie that they leave for class. He began arguing with Paco in no time. Cassie scolded them and carried on on her own.
Robert arrived with Romina at Camila and received a warm welcome. Daniela barged in and got into Mina’s face. Robert came over and told them to settle their differences somewhere else. He then went ahead to greet the executives.
Leon stared and shook Robert’s hand, only to be shoved against the wall. Leon then pushed him away. “Is there a problem, Mr. Mondragon?”
Romina hurried over as they faced off.
“I’m sorry…” Robert began. “Robert.”
“Leon Herrera. C.O.O of Camila.”
Romina then revealed that Leon was the one who had helped them look for him. Daniela spouted some crap I didn’t pay attention to.
Robert turned back to Leon. “I’m grateful for all the care and support you gave my family. But now I’m finally back so leave that responsibility to me.”
