Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association, has pleaded with Ghanaian football enthusiasts to stop jeering members of the national team.
Kurt Okraku lamented on social media that several players on the national team have faced harsh criticism for their subpar performances, despite Ghana’s reputation as a “football country that is hostile to its players.”

This comes on the back of the Black Princesses’ win over Tanzania where Mukarama Abdulai became the latest national team player to receive abuse from the fans for her performance.
In recent times , some of our players including Abdul Baba Rahman and from yesterday’s game in cape coast, striker Mukarama Abdulai (black Princesses)have been booed by some few Ghanaian football fans . My appeal is that let’s stay together as Ghanaians at all times and let’s support our players in good times and in bad times. This is NOT a good habit!!!!
