Ghana has been extended a unique invitation to take part in the Salvador Carnival, which takes place in Bahia, Brazil, from February 9–14.
Under the theme of “Reconnecting Afro Roots,” the event gives several nations the chance to showcase their cultural heritage via art, music, dance, costumes, and other mediums.

Last Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in Accra, the public was informed about the nation’s participation, which aims to build stronger relations, by Mark Okraku Mante, the deputy minister of tourism, arts, and culture.
Abena Busia, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Brazil, emphasized the shared cultural heritage, music, and traditions between the two nations and urged Ghanaian companies to participate in the festival in order to boost foreign direct investment in Ghana.

Anane Nsiah, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, stated that the carnival will offer a means of reestablishing communication between the two nations and fostering relationships with the African community.
