The Black Stars of Ghana lost their opening game at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as they were beaten by Morocco.
Ghana were aiming to start on a bright note and were able to contain the threat of Morocco in a dull first half.
The second half came to live as Ghana had their first effort on target in the 70th minute.
It’s was Morocco that had the last laugh after a defensive error allowed Sofiane Boufal to slot home from close range.
Ghana threw on players to try and salvage a point but that proved futile as the game ended 1-0 in favour of the North Africans.
Ghana’s next game is against Gabon.
