Rivers United coach, Evans Ogenyi, is desperate to beat Dreams FC to qualify for the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Nigerian side defeated Academica Petroleos de Lobito 3-2 in Angola, while the Still Believe boys beat Club Africain 1-0 in Kumasi.
Rivers United are tied with Tunisian side Club Africain on nine points as the MTN FA Cup champions, while Dreams FC is at the top with twelve points.
Ogenyi reckons his side deserves to be in the next round, and in order for them to do so, they must beat their Ghanaian opponents, who just need at least a point to qualify.
“We deserve to qualify for the next round,” he said.
“The Angolan team is not small; we came here with a plan.”
“In the first leg in Nigeria, we beat them 3-0, and every other team in Nigeria has improved their game.”
“We knew that at last the goal difference would surely count, and we came up with a plan.”
