Goalkeeper for the Black Galaxies, Danlad Ibrahim, has said the squad wants to provide happiness to Ghanaians.
The Galaxies are determined to throw smiles on Ghanaians’ faces after their tenacious victory over Sudan, according to the Asante Kotoko midfielder.
Ghana struggled to get off to a bad start in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), losing 2-1 to Madagascar on Sunday, but rebounded well against Sudan on January 19 of 2023.
After trailing after 31 minutes, they came back to win 3-1 with goals from Konadu Yiadom, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, and Suraj Seidu of Hearts of Oak.
“We didn’t have any option than to make Ghana proud. We are determined to put smiles on the face of everyone. We shall do it. Ghana first,” the Asante Kotoko player wrote on Facebook.
Now, Black Galaxies have a chance to advance to the next phase.
If Sudan defeats Madagascar by a slim margin or if Madagascar draws with Sudan, Ghana, who is second in Group C, will advance.
