West Ham United picked up their first win on Monday night over London rivals Brentford thanks to hat-trick-hitting Jarod Bowen.
Following their 6-0 humiliation loss to Arsenal at home, David Moyes men needed to make a statement of intent in front of their home fans at the London Olympic Stadium.
Bowen got his first goal just five minutes into the game with a strike that went in off the post, before he scored again two minutes later as he slotted in Vladimir Coufal’s pass.
Neal Maupay quickly and smartly pulled on back with a scooped finish to end the first half 2-1 to the Hammers.
The former Hull City man finally got his hat-trick of the match when he headed home Mohamed Kudus’ cross from the right before Italian Emerson put the game beyond the Bees despite Congolese international, Wissa scoring to end the game at 4-2 for the home side.
