Management of Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has cancelled the annual Freedom Wave Concert, which is slated for Monday, December 25, 2023, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The decision follows the clash of dates between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s Bhim concert which is also scheduled to take place at the same premise on Friday, December 22.
Shatta Wale had earlier expressed his dissatisfaction about the development since the date would not give him ample time to give a 360 set up at the stadium.

In a Facebook Live last week, he accused Stonebwoy of sabotaging his concert with support from authorities of the stadium while he had already booked the place and had been hosting the Freedom Wave concert for the past two consecutive years at the stadium.
The “On God” hitmaker’s manager, Sammy Flex who confirmed the cancellation of the programme said as a result of the brouhaha, Shatta Wale has decided to cancel the Freedom Wave Concert.

He stated that there were no plans to hold the concert at a different venue until the National Sports Authority (NSA) reached out to them, with positive feedback.
“The show has been cancelled until we receive a positive update from the National Sports Authority (NSA),” Sammy Flex said.
However, the authorities at the Stadium earlier had told the media that they had solved the issue between the two musicians and had even fixed an appropriate date for each.
