Ghanaian highlife artist Emmanuel Kofi Botwe, known by his stage name Kwaw Kese and popularly called Abodam, has made certain claims of being treated unfairly by the police.
The abodam hitmaker said he was picked by the police for allegedly smoking marijuana in public.
He asserted that the police showed injustice by overlooking crimes he was jailed for while they were being done by other people.
Kwaw Kese further stated that the police had “nothing to prove” in support of their allegations, saying that his arrest was based only on conjecture, and as a result, he is demanding $1 million in compensation from the police.
“I have a lot of evidence that shows foreigners doing the same thing I was jailed for. But they don’t have a video of me doing that.
“Yet the foreigner, whose actions were documented on camera, goes scot-free with police guarding them to do it in front of everybody.
“You know, I have to be compensated for that disgrace the government put on my name,” he said.
