Mohamed Kudus, a midfielder for Ghana, claims that the 2022–23 football season was his finest ever.
The 22-year-old forward has been brilliant for Ajax this season, with 4 assists in addition to his previously unheard-of 17 goals across all competitions.
He has been hailed as the best player for the Dutch giants by both supporters and analysts.
Kudus, though, admits that if they don’t win the Dutch Eredivisie and the Dutch Cup, all of his own accomplishments will be for none.
“I think compared to previous seasons this has been my best but I’m not where I want to be yet,” he said on Ajax TV.
“The goal is to win the cup and the league and until I achieved that, I haven’t done anything yet. So there is more coming, more work to be done.”
Mohammed Kudus is reportedly being pursued by a number of clubs this summer, with a reunion with Erik ten Hag as the most prominent suitor.
