Obed Ansah, a former Accra Hearts of Oak player, has said that he wants his team to win the Ghana Premier League (GPL) this year.
Because of the Phobians’ poor season debut, coach Samuel Boadu was let go. With 13 points after 8 games, they are now ranked fifth in the league under Serbian coach Slavko Matic.
Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Galaxies engaged in a friendly match in order to be ready for the return of the Ghana Premier League, which was suspended for the 2022 World Cup. The Accra-based team was defeated 2-1 by the Black Galaxies. On December 19th, Accra Hearts of Oak will play Nsoatreman in the league’s return.
From 2009 to 2011, Obed Ansah was a member of Accra Hearts of Oak. He appeared in 65 games and contributed 25 goals for the Phobians.
“My team Hearts of Oak for now because of the World Cup I don’t follow the Premier League. Because of Ashantigold’s case the league was paused so I was following the Europe leagues before the break came and the World Cup started,” he said in an interview.
“But at times I watch at home StarTimes and other places they (Hearts of Oak) is doing well but if they win the league I will be happy because I played for Hearts of Oak,”
