His Excellency Maxwell Awiaga, the ambassador of Ghana to Guinea, recently paid a visit to the Conakry Black Queens.
The team was officially welcomed to Guinea during the visit, and good wishes were given in advance of their match against Guinea’s Syli National team on Friday.

A few Ghanaians living in Guinea and members of the Ghana embassy personnel accompanied the ambassador.
H.E. Awiaga assured the players that the entire nation is praying for them and supporting them as they go all hard to defend the national colors.
Habiba Attah Forson, the delegation’s leader from Ghana, praised the Ghana mission’s warm welcome, saying it made the crew feel at home and very comfortable.
Portia Boakye, the team captain, promised that the team would make all attempt to win the game.

The Black Queens will take on Guinea at the Stade de Generale Lansana Conte at 4 pm today.
