Samuel Inkoom, a defender for Hearts of Oak, has revealed that he decided to break his contract with Georgia’s Torpedo FC in order to play in the Premiership once again in Ghana.

The former Ghana U20 star joined the Phobians in the middle of the 2021–2022 Ghana Premier League season despite rumors that he might sign with Asante Kotoko.

Samuel Inkoom says his experience at Hearts of Oak has been thrilling as he expresses his thoughts on the choice.

In an interview on an Accra-based FM station, the experienced Samuel Inkoom said “My last team was Torpedo FC. I had one year left on my contract with them but I terminated it because I said I want to join the GPL. I joined the Oak family and the reception was great.”

After failing to defend the Premier League championship, Samuel Inkoom assisted Hearts of Oak in winning the MTN FA Cup at the conclusion of the 2021/22 football season in Ghana.
