Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Samuel Anim Addo, has revealed on MAX FM that his outfit entirely pays for everything imported for all the national teams.
Anim Addo, who doubles as the board chairman of Okwawu United, wants the government to review its policies on the importation of football equipment for the various national teams since it is hindering football development due to the huge toll on the FA’s finances.
Speaking on the most-listened-to mid-morning sports show, Max Sports Pack, he said: “We (GFA) paid (GHC 300K) for the clearance of jerseys for the national teams. “The government must develop a deliberate plan to fund the grassroots and domestic game.”
“Legislators should have a second look at policies bidding on these things because we have discussed and met with the Select Committee on Sports on several occasions just waiting for answers,” he told MAX FM.
Anim Addo, who is seeking a second term in office, believes in the good deeds of this current administration.
